Design thinking is the key to developing innovative, but above all user-centred solutions that meet the challenges of the modern world. Using iterative processes and agile methods, we help you to organise the path from idea to market-ready solution in an efficient and targeted manner.

On the way to innovative solutions, you have certainly already learnt that no idea survives the first contact with the customer. To fulfil this principle, agile innovation methods allow us to collect and adapt feedback at an early stage. True to the motto ‘Fail early to fail cheap’, the design thinking approach helps us to iterate flexibly and effectively so that we can refer back to the previous phase after each one and further deepen our understanding of the problem.

In addition to our agile innovation methods, the ‘Golden Circle’ ensures that the customer’s needs take centre stage – without losing sight of the economic added value. This process begins with identifying the ‘why’ – the purpose and benefit behind the innovation. This is followed by the ‘how’, the path to the solution, and finally the ‘what’, the concrete implementation of the idea into a testable product.

The innovation process is often divided into phases by the innovation funnel. We are happy to accompany you through all of these phases. Our focus is on the discovery, ideation and prototyping phases, in which we apply the questions of the Golden Circle in a targeted manner.

Innovation Funnel

We start with the discovery phase so that you can better categorise the context and the challenge. It aims to identify the needs of your users and analyse the initial situation. The central question is dedicated to the ‘why’ in order to work out the purpose or meaning behind the idea. This usually happens out of ‘pain’. For example, something does not fulfil its purpose or you are annoyed because it is too time-consuming. The pain serves as a motivator and is therefore crucial for change management (link) in order to bring the change into the company.

The ideation phase is the creative part of the innovation process. In order to develop the electric light, Edison had to be familiar with the phenomenon of electricity. Benz could only invent the automobile because he had studied the function of the steam engine. We work with you to identify relevant knowledge bases and ensure that you have the necessary basic knowledge to develop concrete ideas and solutions. We evaluate and prioritise the resulting use cases together with you.

Ideas often fail due to a stringent follow-up. Perhaps you have already developed use cases that were not pursued further for various reasons. In the prototype phase, we transform a concrete solution into a tangible and testable version and support you in not losing the red thread of innovation.

The prototype makes it possible to validate the assumptions and concepts from the previous phase. With more than 20 years of experience, we can draw on an agile project method that is suitable for you, in which we are also happy to ensure that you always have an overview with our customisable reports.

Innovation means change and without stringent communication this leads to uncertainty. We therefore offer to actively help shape the topic of change management across all phases in order to gain the necessary acceptance in your company.
