We don’t build castles in the air, but open ourselves up to the future in a pragmatic and visionary way.

For us, establishing sustainable concepts in all areas is not just a social and cultural change, but a process that we want to actively help shape.

We have already taken the first steps towards a sustainable future. Our sustainability strategy is being further developed with our employees, because we work and grow as a team.

Sustainable action starts with our employees. To enable them to make the best possible decisions tailored to their individual needs, we offer our SIRIANs the following options for individual mobility:

  • BahnCard 100
  • Job bike
  • Job ticket
  • Company car (fossil-free drives are preferred)

SIRIUS generally applies a “rail card first” policy. This means that rail travel is preferred for business trips. In addition, we plan the deployment of our employees with as little travel as possible and also try to avoid air travel and journeys by car wherever possible.

Our employees can choose and adapt flexible working time models. This means that private and family challenges can be managed together. Humanity is not just a slogan at SIRIUS, we live this value and respect each other.

The further development of our team is a central point. We bring this to life by establishing a dedicated organizational unit for further training.

As a successful company, we see it as our duty to do our part to optimize societal and social inequalities through donations and other social projects.

For more than 10 years, SIRIUS has supported the education of children in international crisis areas through 3 PLAN sponsorships. In recent years, our sponsored children have come from areas in Ghana, Kenya, Haiti and Indonesia.

In addition to our international sponsorships, we also support regional child and youth welfare facilities, such as the St. Anton e.V. children’s and youth home in Mannheim and JES Jugendhilfe Einrichtungen Südwest GmbH.

The promotion of medical progress and the prevention of mental illness are also close to our hearts at SIRIUS, which is why we support several cancer research projects and offers of help for people struggling with mental health issues.

Social projects

  • A Kiwi against cancer non-profit UG
  • Together against childhood cancer
  • Support for brain tumor research at KiTZ Heidelberg
  • Project “Gemeinsam gegen einsam”

Corporate Giving

In times of recurring natural disasters and political crises, we also focus on providing active aid, such as the recent donation to the flood victims in the Ahr valley or the emergency aid for Ukraine.

Sponsoring

It is also important for us to support regional clubs and to maintain the fascination of shared sport. That is why we support the following clubs as part of a sponsorship:

  • Sportkegelclub Stolzer Kranz Walldorf e.V.
  • VfB Friedrichshafen Volleyball e.V.
  • B.C. Main-Taunus Redwings 1994 e.V., Baseball

Transparency

A central component of sustainability activities is the continuous development and optimization of transparency. For this reason, we have ourselves certified annually by Ecovadis and can therefore track our progress and create a transparent view of our actions.

Sustainability drivers

We are happy to support you with your certifications and reports. The data required for sustainability reporting in particular is a colorful bouquet of factors, some of which are not included in the business figures. Individual structures must therefore be created in order to collect sustainable data. If you have any questions, please get in touch with our team and secure the support of our data experts!
