The overall goals of an ASPM transformation are to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the maintenance activities and planning to be performed, supported by clearly defined roles & responsibilities.

The SIRIUS Offering ASPM Transformation addresses this issue and delivers a customized roadmap that is aligned with the needs of the client organization, capabilities & skills and goals.

The assessments cover the areas of processes, people, skills & capabilities, tools, integration and data and build on each other as they progress. The findings from the respective areas and the resulting recommendations for action are then transferred to a consolidated roadmap for you.

Starting with the process assessment, it is important to identify those processes that contribute value or create a unique selling proposition. These factors are to be preserved and further strengthened during the transformation, whereas processes with little value contribution and a high degree of complexity are to be standardized or even replaced.

No people, no business – therefore, the people involved must be understood in order to carry out a successful transformation, after which the target processes are also lived. It must be defined how large and in which areas organizational changes are to be expected and how the areas of responsibility are to change. It must be understood whether the people involved are change leaders or are more skeptical about a change process. It must also be understood whether the customer’s internal resources are sufficient to maintain the ongoing business and at the same time be able to fully participate in the transformation.

Which skills are already being cultivated, where is there a need for action, and how must this be responded to? These are questions that a company must address in the area of skills & capabilities to ensure that the organization can continue to operate successfully after the change.

Once processes, people and skills have been addressed, the technological and technical aspects must be considered. The added value of the technologies and applications to be used must be clearly articulated and a relationship established with the processes, people and skills. A holistic integration or architecture sets the guidelines for make and buy decisions and how strongly to interact with the eco-system partner. Last but not least, a review of data governance must be carried out, since higher demands on data quality, consistency and maintenance processes are to be expected in the course of the new target image.
