The SIRIUS Process Assessment and Optimization Offering serves such a scenario and concludes with a recommendation for action. Individual (sub-)processes or individual areas such as reporting, order confirmations, etc. can be considered.

The procedure can be divided into three phases:

The Explore & Interact phase is characterized by the fact that the current status is recorded. The affected ACTUAL processes with the roles and responsibilities defined for them are documented in BPMN. The BPMN is supplemented by data flows and volumes that are determined or estimated. The operational doing or the actual flow (process, roles, responsibility and data) is recorded separately. This phase is implemented via workshops and / or interviews with customers. If needed, deep dives into the system are also performed to build understanding. Process segmentation based on actual processes is performed in preparation for the next phase and phase of defining target processes and states is completed. Process documentation of actuals, a defined target state, and segmentation of actual processes are the expected deliverables of this phase.

The Analyze & Recommend phase is characterized by the evaluations of the collected information. An evaluation of the ACTUAL process to best practices is performed to identify the gaps and derive part of the recommended action. If target processes are available, these are used as a reference for the evaluation. The skills required to close the gaps are determined and recommendations for action are completed on this basis. Occasionally, consultations are held with customers to verify assumptions or clarify open questions. Finally, the following deliverables can be expected: a maturity assessment of the ACTUAL processes, a skills gap analysis and an implementation plan for the individual recommendations for action.

The final phase of this offering consists of a presentation of the results to the sponsors and team members as well as an alignment for the next steps. This approach ensures that theory can be put into practice.
